So I got my wisdom tooth taken out today, and I did not feel a thing.  Obviously, I am swollen and healing but I am well taken care of. The face slin ice pack, ibuprofen, and Vicodin, are making my life so much better. Great out patient instructions.

Dr. Miyatake is absolutely amazing!!  I usually only use Yelp to read reviews but I actually registered for a Yelp account  just so I could write Dr. Miyatake a review :)

I had two wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Miyatake last month.  I was really nervous before the surgery because I had a really painful experience with another doctor a few years back  when I was overseas (and I only had 1 removed that time).

Ok I received bad information from my dentists office about pain in my tooth. They advised me to take Advil. Turns out I had a tooth abcess and Dr Miyatake had to put me to sleep and remove the tooth. I had minimal facial bruising and the extraction area healed well. If in the future you are concerned about throbbing pain in your tooth see Dr Miyatake, an abcess can be dangerous.

I had been putting off getting my wisdom teeth out for about 4 years but finally the pain got too unbearable and either they or me had to go.

Dr. Linda's staff was excellent and very understanding about my case and took care of everything. The office is clean and pleasant, if your looking for high architecture or style then don't look for it in a dentists office. I had not been to a dentist in over 10 years and they made this one of the better experiences I have had with one. I arrived for my appointment about 30 minutes early, but instead of making me sit and wait, I was taken back, X-rayed and all setup for my consultation.

It's no surprise to me to see that this is a 5 star business!!

I had my wisdome teeth pulled yesterday by Dr. miyatake. I was very pleased from the minute I was referred to her from another dentist office. I was in a lot of pain and she offered to take me in the same day despite being fully booked. I was very scared as I don't do well with pain at all but she made me feel very comfortable and I really feel like she listened to my concers and answered all my questions. I don't have medical insurance so they were able to set me up with very affordable payment plan with 0% interest that I was very pleased with.

Dr. Miyatake is one of the best oral surgeons in the area. She is through in her examination, diagnosis and surgical procedure. I am in the dental field and my mom needed emergency treatment. The staff and Dr. Miyatake did all they could to make my moms treatment easy and painless. For a high fear patient my mom left feeling well taken care of. Thank you Dr. Miyatake! You are the best! Do not wait on finding a oral surgeon. Schedule your consultation and you will see what I mean. Just like anything else there are different levels of expertise. She is a 10!!!

I'm mostly on yelp to read reviews, but after going to Dr. Miyatake for my wisdom teeth extraction, I felt compelled had to write her one. I was allowed to schedule a same day consultation and surgery which was exactly what I needed because I was in constant pain with my wisdom teeth. As much as I wanted her to relieve my pain right away, I was quite nervous up until the consultation. Dr. Miyatake was confident, striaght forward, answered all my questions; just what I needed to calm my nerves. Her staff was extremely kind and made sure I was comfortable from start to finish. I went asleep for the whole procedure and did not feel any discomfort. During my recovery period, I had minimal swelling, light bleeding and only had to take my pain medications for 3 days!  I was thoroughly impressed with Dr. Miyatake' and staff. I'm glad I did not go anywhere else.

I had an infected wisdom tooth and had to pull out another wisdom tooth. I found Linda on yelp and asked her to do the surgery. I was told to come in for an exam 3 days after I called and had surgery the same day because of the infected tooth. I was very satisfied with how quick they had made the appointment and the surgery. I had to be put to sleep so i didnt feel any pain and I was well enough to go to a comedy show the next night. I was told to expect to feel some pain and swelling on the third day but I had very little pain and no swelling after the surgery and to this day. but please listen when she says not to bite your tongue after the surgery. Im going into the 2nd week and everything is "going perfectly" as stated by Miyatake. I highly recommend her.

To echo many reviewers, I came to Dr. Miyatake incredibly terrified of having my wisdom teeth extracted, however she quickly put my fears to rest. From the initial consultation, I could sense her confidence and thoroughness, I knew that I was in good hands. Dr. Miyatake and her staff answered all of my questions about the procedure itself, and they very transparently outlined all of the costs covered by insurance and out of pocket costs for me. I've been to too many doctor's offices where I'm simply billed some arbitrary sum of money with no explanation or breakdown of costs, so I really appreciated the extra time they took to do this!

If you're a person who needs a health care practitioner to ask how your day was and to exchange personal life histories with, I wouldn't recommend coming here.  But if you want an oral surgeon who is all-business, straightforward, and simply knows what she's doing, go see Dr. Miyatake.

My first appointment ran like clockwork without a moment of waiting between paperwork, x-rays, consult, and going over payment.  I can see it being a little overwhelming for most people, as Dr. Miyatake was talking at top speed about the surgical procedures while I was still filling out my medical history in the exam room.  But I personally hate dilly-dallying and small talk, so I appreciated a doctor's office that operates at my usual rapid-fire pace.

Dr. Miyatake does an amazing job!

I was referred to her by my work, close friends and my dentist and am so glad I went to her!  I had all four wisdom teeth extracted recently and the procedure was very smooth.  She prepped me entirely on my procedure and was true to her word about everything.  I didn't swell up AT ALL and was in minimal pain, not enough to require either of the pain meds she prescribed.  She does a fabulous & pain-free job!

I have been home from my emergency appointment with Dr. Miyatake for about five hours, and while recovering in bed with my dog by my side I felt compelled to write this review.

I was seen and treated within a couple of hours of calling their office. Dr. M is very confident and very complimentary about my dentist and his work.

I had a bizarre morning of actually visiting a different oral surgeon, and although in extreme pain walked out the door. Back at my dentist they encouraged me to contact Dr M.

My daughter had all of her wisdom teeth took out yesterday, the outcome of that was excellent.  We were super impressed with Dr. Miyatake and her staffs.  The operation was fast, every one at the office is very professional.

I wish I had known Dr. Miyatake many years ago when my son took his wisdom teeth off.

Dr. Miyatake is a super good surgeon and I highly recommend her.

She made this operation experience a super pleasant one for my daughter.

Now I can claim a good surgeon really made the world of difference.

Dr. Miyatake knew this was coming...a five-star yelp review. From start to finish, it was an easy going process getting my wisdom teeth removed. She's a great clinician w/ a wonderful office staff. I came to Dr. Miyatake's office with a referral from my dentist. I didn't really know why I had to get my wisdom teeth removed since they weren't causing me any trouble, but she did a great job explaining the procedure and answering all of my questions. In addition to Dr. Miyatake, her staff is wonderful. They told me what to expect pre and post-op and I honestly don't think I would have recovered as fast if I didn't know what to do or what to expect next. I wish I could remember the names of the two assistants that helped me right after my surgery because they were super attentive and caring.

    Go, go , go!

I was afraid of removing my bottom impacted wisdom teeth...I am not so young any more and the roots were pretty deep. I came, got a little bit of   Sadation and woke up after a short time. No pain, no swelling! Only feeling like I do after having my teeth cleaned.

She is quick, efficient and does a great job. I would definately go again if I decide to take the top ones out.

    Go, go, go!

Dr. Miyatake is a brilliant and extremely competent oral surgeon.

She is also compassionate and her chair side manner is humane and comforting.

Both she and her staff are proficient and personable and they take the time to explain their procedures in great detail and they patiently answer their patients every question. This group of professionals rises above all of the others in their class of oral surgeons. They exude confidence which is completely reassuring.

    I highly recommend Dr. Miyatake!

I wish Yelp had a special 10 STAR rating because Dr. Miyatake deserves it!

Dr. Miyatake is amazing! She really knows her stuff and wastes no time getting straight to it so I felt like the whole procedure took 5 minutes. It's not like she rushes, she's just very efficient. I wouldn't have minded waiting though, she has Garfield in her waiting room...so what if I'm still a child? :)

Her staff is very kind as well. I have needle phobia and was wincing when one of her staff said "Don't worry, it's just like an ant bite" so I imagined a little ant nibbling at my arm...and then I fell into a niiiice deep sleep.

I had my two lower wisdom teeth removed and no pain whatsoever! I even got this cute little care package. Dr Miyatake called me up a couple of hours after my surgery to see how I was doing and answered all of my questions, which I thought was extremely sweet.

I do look like a chipmunk, but it's OK, I'll just go into hibernation for a while. :)

Dr Miyatake is absolutely amazing. I had 4 impacted wisdom teeth that needed removing and she did it with such grace and skill that within a week I was free of swelling and pain (and I'm in my late twenties, so I cant chalk it up to youth). She's refreshingly to the point and gives it to you straight. She'll answer any questions that you have and always gives you her full attention.

I was so scared of this procedure, but her confidence and professionalism gave me the courage to go through with it, and I'm so glad I did.

4 impacted PITA wisdom teeth, 30 years old, somewhat afraid. OK, deathly afraid. I found Dr. Miyatake on Yelp, and figured between the wisdom tooth pain and occasional infection, it was time to get these suckers removed. I scheduled an appointment for an initial consultation.

Upon arrival, I was directed into a consultation room, and met Dr. Miyatake for the first time. Dr. Miyatake then proceeded to talk a 100 miles per hour about the procedure and potential complications. At this point, I figured two things. First was that boy she can talk fast. Second was that she knows what she's doing because she's done this so many times. She answered all of my questions and didn't waste any of my time.

Alright no one like dentist, let alone extracting your wisdom teeth. Just like most of the reviews say Dr. Lind  is straight to business very detailed and most importantly fast and painless. Dr. Miytake is truly professional and her office is without a doubt highly trained, compassionate and by far the best dental experience I have had. I had wisdom pain for a few days. I called their office on a Friday morning and was scheduled for 12:30 that same day. Within my appointment I had a simple X-ray, consultation and reviewed all options within the hour. I was scheduled for the next day which for a Saturday morning was very accommodating. As someone who has extreme anxiety I was reassured and treated exceptionally. 48 hours later after following their instructions I was back to work with minimal swelling and no pain ! The office called to follow up multiple times & referred an new dentist for our family. Thank you Dr. Miytake & staff who made 4 wisdom teeth extracted be painless!

A quality Oral Surgeon makes a HUGE difference!!!  If you want the absolute best then Linda Miyatake is who you want.  We were first referred to her by my daughter's first dentist and then again by my daughter's orthodontist.  The first extraction went very well.  No problems, and that is exactly what you want from your oral surgeon, no problems or complications.  We came back recently for my daughter's wisdom teeth removal.  She did an excellent job and made the incisions so small that they didn't even require stitches, YEAH!!   The doctor even called us the next day on a SATURDAY to follow up to make sure everything was going well, that is right the doctor called, not her assistant!!  I found that her prices are a bit pricey than most, but the quality of the doctor's services are worth every penny!!!

Again Dr Linda did it! She's amazing!!! My 20 year old had 5 wisdom teeth!! She had to have them removed. It was going to be a challenge for Dr Linda but she pulled it off. My daughter had easy recovery and seemed to be really sick from the antibotics but the care from the doctor and staff was over whelming. They called again and again to check on her nausea. THANK YOU guys  AGAIN for taking care of another one of my babies!!! Like I mentioned before it's hard to trust anyone with your kids.

As if Dr. Miyatake needs anymore 5 star reviews, but I am amazed at her confidence and professionalism. Her staff got me in immediately because of an emergency wisdom teeth extraction. Every staff member I worked with in the office was so pleasant and knowledgable in their position, even down to the financial side.

Now to the actual procedure, awesome. I do not remember anything past her assistant putting the last monitor on my right finger. Then all the sudden I woke up in recovery and my husband was right next to me listening to the aftercare instructions. I have yet to be in pain, I attribute that to a GREAT doctor and a GREAT husban

My daughter had emergency surgery needing all four wisdom teeth extracted.  Dr. Miyatake was there for us.  She efficiently explained the procedure and all went accordingly.  Her expertise and skill were evident in the relatively short recovery which was needed for such an operation.  What was greatly appreciated by this worried father was her caring approach in the followup calls to our home following the surgery.  Dr. Miyatake has my highest recommendation.

Absolutely flawless oral surgery. Had to have brackets attached to my impacted canines. Dr. M warned that they could fall off and we would have to do it again. I was referred to Dr. Miyatake from my dentist. I needed to get three of my wisdom teeth out and they were going to be hard. I was skeptical because I have gotten one out before and it was a bad, bad experience. However, Dr. Miyatake, exceeded my expectations. She is so knowledgable... I mean, she seriously KNOWS what she's doing. She can talk super fast and is more concerned about the medical side than your emotional well being but I'm fine with that if she can take my teeth out correctly.

I didn't take any sort of vicodin or strong pain killer after my surgery. I took ibuprofen and that was it. I swelled but it really didn't hurt as much as I expected it to. I was back to work in a couple of days and was fine (I work with children too!)

OK no shocker here...going to add another 5 star review. I came in with an infected back molar that that had had a root canal done about 3 years ago. It did not "take" I guess and I had an infection. Now I am lucky since my body was fighting the infection and I was not in major pain. I however am petrified I mean petrified of the dentist. I shake just thinking about it. I was crying when I walked into the chair. I was told the tooth needed to be removed and that because of where the tooth was located that I would need an implant not to shift my bite. I freaked out. Dr. Miyatake is straight to the point and will tell you how it is. That is what I liked about her. She scheduled me for surgery the next day.  From the time I walked in to the time I remembered walking out everything went smoothly and quickly. My husband said the whole procedure took 1/2. Now I also had a bone graft to get an implant I will not lie the next 5-6 days are kind of sucky because you are just hungry and uncomfortable and cannot eat much but liquid. I am a veggie/salad  kind of girl so this was tough for me. Nothing crunchy for a bit. Positive sign you will lose some weight...lol. Also I work out so basically no working out except for walking for two weeks after the surgery I had done. The Dr. also called the following day to check up on me. When I did not answer phone because I must have been resting from procedure the office called again the next day to see if I had any questions. I did not bruise and besides a bit of swelling it was pretty good. All in all a great thumbs. You will not be disappointed.

For anyone afraid to get their wisdom teeth extracted, FEAR NO MORE!

It all started when my bottom two impacted wisdom teeth which were partially erupted kept getting infected and I knew it was finally that time to gain the courage to book an appointment (I definitely had to get the bottom two removed, though the top ones were grown in just fine I still wanted to remove these just in case). I initially went to a local oral surgeon who is located in the Contra Costa Concord area and I left his office in tears and scared for my life. I am a bit older for getting wisdom teeth out (27 years old) and my roots had fully grown in and had an EXTREMELY close proximity to my alveolar nerve. The surgeon told me he recommends a coronectomy (removal of the top half of my tooth) because I have a "good" chance for permanent nerve damage. So not only was I terrified to get these removed, I was definitely not confident in his work/skill since offering to only take out half my tooth seems like he's really trying to say, "I am not confident in myself as a surgeon that I can avoid nerve damage

My teen son needed 4 wisdom teeth removed and Dr Linda did it quickly with tiny incisions that really helped reduce the time to heal. She talks fast and can seem intimidating but she's really funny underneath that straight-forward exterior. She called to check on us later that week as well.  Her staff runs the office like a well-oiled machine.

I came here to get my last remaining wisdom tooth out. The tooth was fully buried, and Dr. Miyatake said it would take 20min. It was 10min anesthesia, less than 5min actual surgery, and 5min of me convincing myself that it was really finished while her assistant telling me how to do post-surgery care. She was so incredibly fast and efficient.

Better yet, I did not need to take any pain killer at all, because there was not much pain. I didn't know this was even possible. My previous wisdom teeth extraction were all very painful after the surgery and left a big hole with stitches... did I mention there were no stitches this time? I'm really glad I saved one tooth to come here to experience this!

I came in for a consultation and she gave a whole spiel about why it's good to have your wisdom teeth removed, the whole procedure, and how to care for it after extraction. I made my appointment for a Friday so I'd have some time to recover over the weekend. My friends and coworkers were all excited to see me with chipmunk cheeks and all drugged up.

This was my first time being put under and I didn't know what to expect.  I just remember I was lying on the bed and and they stuck the IV in my arm. They said they'd let me relax a bit....zZz and then I was off! After I woke up, I remember thinking... "Uh are we going to get started soon?" The extraction was complete and I didn't even know it! No pain at all! The nurse helped me slowly get up and walked me over to their waiting area in the back until my ride came. The procedure took only about 45 min or less.

I'm in my mid 20s and got  braces recently.

Before that, my orthodontists said I would need 9 extractions: 4 wisdom teeth, 4 bicuspids, 1 baby canine tooth and an impacted canine tooth exposed & bonded.

Being broke with no insurance, I went to UOP and was quoted ~ $3,150 to get this done in one visit. However, some weeks before the scheduled surgery, my employer began offering me dental insurance (yay!). Feeling a bit uneasy about the UOP deal, I decided to cancel and look up a good local oral surgeon accepting Delta Dental. I cross-referenced the list with yelp and days later I was sitting in Dr. Miyatake's office.

Needed a chronically infected tooth extracted and a bone graft for future implant - common problem. I'm impossible to numb with local anesthetic, so my dentist referred me to Dr. M for this procedure under sedation. I'd read comments about her "fast talking" approach and supposed arrogance and wondered what to expect.

Dr. Miyatake was detailed, thorough, patient, funny, and, most of all, honest. I was freaked at the prospect of oral surgery and she explained exactly what she and her team would do, how it would go, and what to expect post-procedure. Prior to my scheduled one-week follow up I was concerned about an unexpected symptom; her staff fit me in for a quick consult very early in the day so my business schedule wouldn't be affected

I've been Dr. Miyatake's patient for over 1 year and a half and I couldn't be happier with my choice. She is honest and direct and I trust her 100%. I have never had any problems and the work she is doing is exquisite and amazing. You can easily tell that she is very passionate about her work and that shows. The staff is also so kind and professional and extremely accommodating. Thank you, Dr. Miyatake for everything you're doing and for completely taking away the fear I used to have for dentists.

I was referred to Dr. Miyatake by my general dentist. Dr. Miyatake is a great doctor, with a very helpful and friendly staff to back her up! I saw her for an extraction of a pretty problem tooth, she explained the procedures I needed, and her staff explained all costs and my insurance's coverage of the procedure up front. Their follow-up post-surgery has been exemplary and I feel confident that my implant procedure with Dr. Miyatake will go just as well.  I confidently recommend her practice if you're in need of an oral surgeon.

I LOVE this place. I know, it's crazy to love a dental office that basically is there to pull your teeth, but Dr. Miyatake does it with such skill and ended my pain in 5 minutes that I want to sing her praises to the world!

The office is wonderful -- they were able to accommodate me on the same morning I called for an emergency tooth extraction (bone graft surgery to save tooth failed and after I stopped taking amoxicillin due to an allergic reaction, I experienced pain that I'd never wish upon anyone). Literally, the tooth was out in 5 minutes. Was only under local anesthesia and did not experience any pain.  Actually, didn't even realize the tooth was out until Dr. Miyatake said we were all done. I had no swelling after the extraction and was eating that night. Pain was minimal -- took 600mg Ibuprofen the first day and that was it. Even left for NY 2 days later and was fine with no issues. For the past 2 months, I've had a root canal, bone graft/gum surgery and this tooth extraction (which is what I should have just done from the very beginning) was like a walk in the park.

Dr. Miyatake is truly "as good as it gets" (to use Yelp's description of 5 stars). She removed 4 wisdom teeth at once, I had no bleeding afterwards, no bruising or swelling, and very manageable pain. Many friends I have talked to were astounded that I did not look like a chipmunk, which I credit to her surgical skill. Dr. Miyatake explained everything well, answered all of my questions and did the followup with me.

In addition, the office staff were all friendly, helpful, and obviously knew what they were doing.

Can't say enough good things about Dr. Miyatake and her office!

The fact that I'm even taking the time to write a yelp review about an oral surgeon should be your first clue to how good doctor Miyatake is. You've seen the photos of people after having their wisdom teeth pulled. Puffy cheeks, swollen gums, looking like they are on the brink of death. I got my teeth pulled by her and I felt like I was even better looking walking out of her office. Linda did the whole thing professionally, quickly and was able to do it without even causing any swelling in my face what so ever. I felt 100% by the end of the day and wondered why people even need recovery days. I am so blown away by my experience that I can't even attempt to make this a funny review like I usually do. 10/10 would get my teeth removed by her again.

A co-worker's request for reference of an oral surgeon reminded me that I haven't added my share of experience with Dr. Miyatake.

I had a half exposed wisdom tooth that sit horizontally in the lower back of my mouth. For years my dentist had advised me to have it removed by a surgeon. But I didn't want to consider the risky surgery. Now I am getting old, knowing this tooth will eventually cause health issues, I decided to find someone trustworthy. I found Dr. Miyatake from Yelp. I was put under, the surgery took less than an hour and I had uncomfortable feeling in the area afterwards, but not pain, so I didn't take any pain medicine, not much swell either. I am so happy now that I don't have to agony over whether I should have the troublesome tooth removed. Highly recommend Dr. Miyatake.

I needed to have a broken tooth removed and was in a world of pain. I had called the night before and was given an appointment the next morning. Rosa was very nice and has great customer service. She was able to confirm my insurance and give me a quote right away.

I have a big fear of the dentist and could not afford to be put to sleep. The Dr was very comforting and announced what she was going to do next and if it was going to hurt so I could brace myself.

If you ever need surgery needed, you will need to visit this place. Staff and Dr are outstanding!

I was referred to Dr. Miyatake from my General Dentist for my wisdom teeth removal. My wisdom teeth started giving me issues and it was time to get them out. Her consultation was very direct and no fluff which i  appreciated it. She sets the right expectations.

I had my surgery on Friday and today is Monday and i am feeling great already back at work. I had very minimal swelling over the weekend. While i was prescribed some heavy pain medicine, did not even need to take it, the 800 milligram motrin was enough for the first few days. I am sure every surgery is a case by case, but I can confidently say she does great work and her entire team is a great support from reception to assitants.

I was referred to Dr. Miyatake by my dentist for a tooth extraction. Her office was a little bit of a commute for me, but it was well worth it for the service I got. There is a parking lot beneath the office which is convenient since the street parking seems to fill up quickly.

Dr. Miyatake is very straight to the point and knowledgable in her profession. She took the time to explain and show me the procedure she will be doing. Dr. Miyatake will also not try to upsell you on any unnecessary procedures.

I had such a wonderful experience at Dr. Miyatake's office. I was scheduled for four wisdom teeth extracted, tooth #4, and a bone grafting on the tooth #4. I'm very nervous and scared going to the dentist office, but Dr. Miyatake is a superb and outstanding doctor. The staff was wonderful and made me feel welcomed at the reception desk and in the surgery room. When she was giving me IV, I did not even count down from 10. She put two shots in my arm and said, "you're not going to sleep yet. This is just to relax your body". Less than a minute later, I woke up in the recovery room. The surgery happens in a blink in the eye.

The best oral surgeon you will ever see. I have had two operations as part of a tooth implant and have been thoroughly impressed throughout. Dr. Miyatake is extremely skilled in her profession, very accommodating, and has a wonderful personality to match. Don't be put off by the direct approach she takes, she gets the job done and to the highest standard i've ever come across. Having had procedures in Europe and the US i can say without hesitation that she is the best surgeon i have worked with. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone in need of a dental procedure!

I just had all my wisdom teeth removed the week of Thanksgiving ( i only had three). I was put under and woke up obviously loopy but healed quite nicely! I am still currently healing, but had to rave about my service here.

Dr. Miyatake is a fast talker, but that's more my style so I didn't mind. She is very to the point and knows what she is talking about. Her staff is also extremely kind and always so accommodating. I took ibuprofren (800 mg). My body doesn't do well with the whole healing process so I did have to take some stronger meds which she prescribed me, and my swelling was pretty bad, but after about 1.5-2 weeks I was able to open my mouth and my swelling is almost all gone!

just another perfect review. i wanted to write this review after my whole process was completed.

I called one day and immediately needed an appointment schedule within the next week or so. to my surprise, I was able to get one by the end of the week. I came in, filled out paper work, immediately got my panorama done of my 3 wisdom teeth, then was immediately consulted. the process was quick, I was told that since one of my tooth was impacted that I needed to get a 3D x-Ray. usually, they cost about $200. but I was referred to another office that did the job for $150. perfect! saved me money. once all the X-rays were completed, I immediately scheduled in for an extraction the following week. I had to pick up prescribed medications to help me with the after pain which wasn't a problem.

Dr. Miyatake is the best! I have put off removing my wisdom teeth due to all the horror stories I have heard from friends and seeing how swollen they got. I had a crown on my wisdom tooth but it ended up coming off when eating licorice and found out it was infected. I put my trust in all the good Yelp reviews that I read about Dr. Miyatake. I was completely comfortable and don't even remember falling asleep from the anesthesia. It felt fun when I woke up because didn't even know what happened or that it was over with. I just remember staring at the wall and then all of a sudden it was time to go home. Didn't have  much pain or swelling and was less scary than I thought. I will be going back to her to remove my other two wisdom teeth. Now I feel silly for being scared all these years to have my wisdom teeth taken out. I healed pretty fast and had no issues. The staff was very friendly as well. All nice. Definitely recommend this office to come to if you need to get your wisdom teeth pulled! Don't be scared! It's fun. I never thought I would say that about a dentist/oral surgeon.

I went to Dr. Miyatake to get a second opinion after the first Oral Surgeon I went to said it would be too risky for me to get my wisdom teeth out. No problem for Dr. Miyatake! I had the procedure done on Thursday morning and my swelling was gone by the time I came into work on Monday morning.

She extracted two of my wisdom teeth so I can still eat while I recover (thank God) and she will extract the remaining two in 2016. I have the utmost confidence in Dr. Miyatake and would recommend her to anyone that has a difficult wisdom teeth scenario.

I am a new patient to Dr. Miyatake but I am blown away by her professionalism and her work. I needed 3 of my wisdom teeth removed urgently and she was able to fit me in for a consult and surgery within the same day. She is very straight forward and explains everything with great detail and care and made sure I was aware of all the precautions and everything that comes with the surgery. The surgery was quick and her staff took excellent care of me while I was waking from the anesthesia. I experienced very minimal swelling and she addressed all my concerns and helped find solutions for pain that worked for me. Dr. Miyatake and her staff go above and beyond for their clients and make you feel very comfortable in the office. I will definitely continue using them in the future for any in depth dental procedures!

Dr. Miyatake is a great oral surgeon! I work at a dental office and we refer a lot of parients to her practice because we know how good she is.

I myself had my last wisdom tooth removed by her. The procedure was done in less than 30 minutes under local anesthesia. I didn't experience any pain, swollen gums or puffy cheeks.

Few hours after my surgery Dr Miyatake called me to check up on me, thought that was really nice of her!

The staff is very kind and professional.

I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed and have to say that Dr Miyatake is a fantastic! When I first went in for my consult, she was extremely friendly and courteous. She took the time to explain, in detail, how the procedure would work and the necessary steps I would have to take once the surgery was over. I had to get an expensive 3D X-ray taken, which was unfortunately not covered by insurance. However, the X-ray ultimately allowed Dr. Miyatake to perform the surgery more effectively so she was extremely grateful for that. My gums did not swell at all, in fact, the most painful part of the experience was the prick from the IV needle which knocked me out. I experienced virtually no pain or discomfort post surgery and was up and about two days after the procedure.

Dr. Miyatake is a miracle worker. I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed 10  days ago. I called in on a Monday, got a consultation appointment the same day and the surgery appointment on that Friday. She's pretty amazing, I was afraid of getting my wisdom teeth pulled out because I was supposed to do it wayyyy earlier, and other dentists were scaring me about the dangers of taking it out so late. Dr. Miyatake is an exceptionally talented surgeon.  She clearly knows what she's doing - my wisdom teeth were extracted with basically NO swelling after the fact.  The pain was extremely minimal, and post-op recovery was a breeze.

Dr. Miyatake is *not* a warm and fuzzy person, who will tell you everything is going to be ok when there are risks, but she is clearly confident in her ability (which I found to be much more comforting as a patient).  She also did not pressure me into the surgery, she made sure I really wanted to do it - which is a big part of why I suspect she has so many 5 star reviews here on yelp!

    Thanks Dr. Miyatake and team!!!

Let me tell you I was terrified of the whole experience and she was great! I am so lucky my dentist recommended me.

She has this almost bad ass, funny attitude about her that makes you feel like the procedure is no big deal in a good way. Not to mention her whole staff is overwhelmingly sweet and kind. So again if you need someone stop wasting your time searching and come here!

This was a truly great experience.

Wisdom tooth extraction is never fun, but Dr. Miyatake and her stuff did an excellent job. The before surgery meeting gave me all the info I needed, the surgery was fast and smooth (well, as smooth as such a thing can be). And after surgery Dr. Miyatake even called me in the evening (on Saturday!) to ask how things are. And I don't know how they did it, but aside of the painkillers right after the surgery, I didn't have to take any!

Dr. Miyatake is the best!  She has removed several of my 96 year old mother's teeth over the past few years.  Although my mother has dementia and it is hard to communicate with her, Dr. Miyatake was patient and worked with us to get the x-rays she needed.  She also recommended the anesthesiologist work with her to provide her the proper care she needed.   My mother went through this significant procedure, and was fine almost immediately after.  She personally called the evening of the surgery at 7pm to make sure everything was ok.   Did I mention Dr. Miyatake is very fast/efficient too?  She is great.
